Brief History

In 1975, Powred Heating and Burner Spares Ltd (PHBS) was founded in Bristol to supply commercial and industrial heating products to contractors in the South West. In 2003, PHBS acquired Heating Components (Cardiff) to form Powred Heating Components (PHC), Firebox Stoves, our brand for wood and multi-fuel stoves, was created in 2008. PHC expanded further in 2009 with the acquisition of Energy Controls & Spares Ltd, and the opening of new locations in Swansea and Weston-Super-Mare. In 2013, PHC purchased Interflame Ltd and began trading in Swindon, while a branch specializing in heating and cooling systems opened in Exeter in 2014. Cove Controls Ltd was acquired in 2016, and PHC opened a new branch in Birmingham in 2017, followed by flagship locations in Portsmouth and Doncaster in 2019. In 2021, Star Plumbing & Heating Supplies joined the "PHC family" to enhance the company's portfolio and expand our growning knowledge in key areas within our industry.
