Useful information
Who is this course for?
Ideal for anyone requiring a clear understanding of water regulations/byelaws — particularly those wishing to become approved plumbers/contractors.
Approved plumber schemes
Successful candidates are encouraged to join an approved plumbers/contractors scheme such as those managed by: SNIPEF, APHC, CIPHE, WIAPS and the regional water utility companies.
This enables you to issue a certificate of completion to both the householder and the water company. Please note that other industry-related qualifications may be required to join these schemes.
Further information
Training and assessment are carried out in a centre and usually last one day. Some independent study prior to attending may be required.
Certification can contribute toward entry requirements for competent person schemes (e.g. APHC), where a recognised plumbing qualification may also be needed.
